There is never enough time.  God has designed us to be mortal.  We are certain to run out of time.  That is why time is so precious.  It is the law of supply and demand.  The Bible instructs us to count our days, to use them wisely and treasure them.  There is never enough time.

While there is never enough time, yet there is still enough time.  God has allotted us enough time to do the work that he has assigned us.  While we may not have enough time to bring everything we would like to do, we have enough time to accomplish deeds of lasting significance.  Sometimes the value of what we do is seen in the lives of those who follow us.

Time is a gift.  God has made time into a gift through our Lord Jesus Christ.  For too many people, time slips away too quickly, or is experienced as a sentence to be served.  For those who believe in Jesus, time is a blessing.  Accordingly, we look forward to the new year, the year that belongs to God.

In our sermon this Sunday, we will read Psalm 90 and talk about the gift of time.
