Everyone has within them some measure of the entrepreneurial spirit. Each one of us is called to create.
Why does God share his creative purpose with us? It is because we were made in his image. We share that divine characteristic, subject to our human limitations. We weren’t meant to leave this world as we found it. We were meant to improve upon this world. God made us that way.
Why do we each need to choose our own particular way to be creative? It is because we each have our own unique abilities and interests and temperaments. Some people build organizations that the whole world knows. Others confine their ambition to their own little corner of the world. Some people spend their entire life pursuing their dream. Others dabble and then move on to something else. We each choose our own particular way to be creative.
And why, beyond personal ambition, do we want to create something anyway? It is because what we build gives glory to God. “Soli Deo Gloria” is our motto. We build to give glory to God.
In our sermon this Sunday we will begin a new series, “Built to Flourish; Foundations for Entrepreneurs” with a message: “You Were Called to Create.”
