You are an influencer. You may not have a million followers on social media. You may not promote restaurants or sell cosmetics. Nonetheless, you are an influencer. You have a sphere of influence. Use your influence for the good. Grown ups use their influence.

Think about how you will use your influence. Maybe you will try to bring people to Jesus Christ. You will be a disciple who makes disciples. Maybe you will guide teenagers as they navigate their way into adulthood. Maybe you have a particular skill that you will teach others. Maybe you will find your calling through some painful season you endured, helping others going through the same experience.

Think about who you are best positioned to influence.  It could be people in your own neighborhood. It could be people with whom you share an occupation or an avocation. It could be someone you see often. Try making a list of everyone you personally know. The people you see most are the people you are most likely to influence.

You have a point of view, an idea, a value, that if you fail to share it, the people around you will be the poorer for it. You have power. You have impact. You have influence. Use it. Grown ups use their influence.
